In 1978, Maria and Frank operated their salon. Meet Maria: She embodies the soul of Framar and provides the strong foundation for the company today. For the first 20 years, she single-handedly ran everything from production and sales to packing each order by hand. 35 years after taking a leap of faith and creating this company, Maria remains the company's President, actively involved in all things Framar.

How did we get our start? In 1986, Maria created Framar out of the back of her husband Frank's salon, becoming the first in Canada to create foil made specifically for hair stylists.

Why do we love what we do? With every #framar post, our Framar family grows. Together, we are creating an amazing global network of people who love hair as much as we do, supporting each other through innovation, creativity, and community.
